Coming off the success of the Bixby Knolls Chess Camp at Elise’s Tearoom and meeting the demands of the community, Project Oasis is proud to announce the formation of the Bixby Knolls Chess Club at the Y. Pooling resources with the Fairfield YMCA, this new club will meet weekly on Sundays at the Y from 2-4 p.m. , beginning Sunday September 28. All regular club meetings will be held on Sundays, from 2-4 p.m.

The Bixby Knoll Chess Club at the Y will be a registered affiliate of the United States Chess Federation and hopes to hold at least two sanctioned tournaments a year. The Club is open to people of all ages and abilities. The cost is $8 per session, or pay for four sessions in advance for $25. Boards and lessons are provided as part of the cost, and we have some for purchase as well. Membership at the YMCA is not required to participate.
